Adjustable Gastric Bands (AGB) are used for the obesity treatment and are applied to patients since 1996 in Latin America and were accepted by the Food and Drugs Administration in USA in 2001.

Multiple studies have been published in favor and against Gastric Bands. Yet in the actuality are applied in indiscriminate way to many patients even when is a report that the 40% of complications affected the patients to loose weight with this device and the patients that are candidates must be chosen carefully because of the failures in loosing weight even in reflux problems and heartburn, etc.

In the ATTENTION CENTER TO PATIENTS WITH GASTRIC BAND PROBLEMS we handle relational problems to this technique, guiding, handling and solving the problems that the patients have.

By the way, we can take off Gastric Bands (Laparoscopic or endoscopic) and make Gastric Sleeve conversion or to By Pass depending on the patient’s needs and characteristics.

Dr. Juan Carlos Olivares and his specialists have the experience in handling of all problems relational to band drums and pouch reservoirs. Adjustment of the Gastric Band by radiology or in the office, as the problems with the same band, handling the problem taking off the dispositive in an endoscopic way by the patient’s mouth, when is wearing away inside to the stomach, or by laparoscopy when the patient has another kind of problem.
